What Is The Princes' Trust?

The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps young people aged 11 to 30 get into jobs, education and training via free courses. Established in 1976, the charity has aided more than a million young people in finding career opportunities.

What Courses Does The Princes' Trust Currently Offer?


Get Into Customer Service with GWR (18-30)

 Popular programme coming back to the Thames Valley,  if you know young people interested in customer service or the travel sector, we have a 3 week programme, where they will learn customer service within the railway sector and also get work placements at Reading/Paddington Station, and support with applying for live vacancies  with GWR, all travel and lunch is provided. After completion of the programme young people are eligible for up to 6 months support from the Trust and fast track DA Award if they go into a positive outcome

Get Started with Music (16-25)

Princes Trust have partnered with Readipop to deliver a free 1 week music programme, you will cover song writing, music production, and learn personal development skills through workshops, no experience in music is needed, after completion of the programme young people  are eligible for up to 6 months support from the Trust and fast track DA Award if they go into a positive outcome.

Achieve (16 - 25)

The Achieve programme aims to create opportunities for young people by helping them to increase their confidence and develop the skills that they need to succeeed in whatever they choose to do next.

Team Programme (16-25)

Team Programme in partnership with Adviza is a 12 week personal development course, over the course of 12 weeks young people get to go on a residential, take part in making their community a better place, a 2 week work placement and update their CV and many other personal skills.

Where: Bracknell

Explore (16-25)

Explore is a 5-week personal development programme which offers young people group activities and one-to-one support to help build confidence, get motivated, meet new people and identify and achieve their goals. We also develop employability and independent living skills. Personal development qualifications are available in Interpersonal & Self-management Skills, Participating in Exercise, Healthy Lifestyle, Career Planning, Money Management, and Presentation Skills.


Development Awards (16-30)

Our Development Awards can cover the cost of course fees, tools or equipment up to £160 in order to help young people achieve their goals and move into education, training or employment.
